HOW DO I GET MY PET STARTED WITH PHYSICAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM?

Once you have made the decision to pursue physical rehabilitation for your pet, the next step is to call our office and schedule your pet’s initial physical therapy evaluation, or get waggin' and fill out our online form below.

We ask that for your pet's initial exam, you show up about 10-15 min early. We will ask you to fill out a New Client Information Form and a Rehabilitation Questionnaire and we will need Referral Form from your pet’s primary veterinarian. If you would like to print and fill out forms at home, please click on the links provided below.

In the initial evaluations, each dog is thoroughly evaluated with a comprehensive medical history, physical examination, gait analysis, goniometry and nutritional assessment and diagnostic test (if needed). The initial examinations can take up to 1 hour to complete.

It can be difficult to give a detailed estimate before your pet is seen, this is due to every pet’s unique medical condition or needs. After Dr. Montes has thoroughly examined your pet, we will go over the treatment plan with you and provide a detailed estimate.

Dr. Montes will design a rehabilitation treatment plan that utilizes the appropriate techniques and modalities and also recommendations for medications, supplements, nutrition, and a home exercise plan for your pet’s individual needs will be provided.

The frequency of treatment will be based on your pet’s medical condition. Treatment sessions can vary from 30-60 minutes. We offer drop off treatment sessions at no extra charge.
